Bichines BJD WIP!

Hello my dear friends!

I would like to share the work in progress of my tiny dolls: "Bichines" BJD! (means something funny in spanish for small animals)  :)

“Bichines” BJD are going to be my new line of little animals, with the same body called Bichín line, and several heads. The first ones are “Jum Jum & Pom Pom”, the fennec fox and the rabbit. And very soon there going to be a deer and a cat :3

I took all the photos with my mobile, to publish them at Instagram, so I'm so sorry but the quality is not very good.

Here's some pic from the beginnings, planning the shape and joints, in 2013...

All the pieces in sketches, as I call this state of giving volume:

All the parts defined, the next is to make the balls for the joints ^_^

Lilly prototype was hand sculpted by Lean. She is an MSD slim BJD of 15 inches (38 cm) tall, with 16 joints, double-jointed knees and elbows. She is going to be available in island color skin (normal skin, a little pink) in environmental resin. Casted by Island Doll from Jpopdolls.

 “She is “the fairy mistress” or the “fairy sweetheart”. She is a the famous Celtic muse with such a dark and unearthly beauty that her lover was often distraught with longing and suffering for her absence. On the Isle of Man, the Leanan Sidhe is a vampiric female spirit, while the Irish Leanan Sidhe is known as the inspiration of poets and minstrels. She would roam the night, searching for romantic men to inspire with eloquence of word and beautiful music, although those who are inspired by her usually live a glorious, but short life…”

Hello! There's been a long time since I write the last time! But now I'm back and I would like to introduce you my new Creation:  Leanan is a One of a kind original ART DOLL, and she is fully poseable!


I (Leandra, from Vasilisa's Dolls) designed and sculpted her, Inspiring on the Night or Nocturnal Court Faery legends.

She was hand sculpted to the bust, arms to the elbow and legs to the knee in polymer clay; hand painted with pastels and acrylics. Covered with a varnish protection.

She has a soft poseable body, made by a wire armature, the armature is wrapped and stuffed with batting and a fabric body sewn on it.

Her outfit and shoes are entirely handmade by me too. I did the hair styling with white matte viscose hair with a single strand of light blue hair.


Her head and body are very poseable. You can bend the limbs at the elbows and knees, and even sit her! She can stand on her feet too without a doll stand.

Her wings and tiara are handmade with aluminium wires and adorned with swarovski crystals. Her shoes has a red swarovski crystal as the heels.

Cursos de Muñecas OOAK y BJD!

Vasilisa’s Dolls se complace en presentar los

 ¡NUEVOS CURSOS 2014!

¿Te gustaría aprender los trucos y la utilización de materiales para crear tu muñeca única de arte articulada llamadas OOAK Art Dolls, o tu propio prototipo de muñeca BJD articulada? 

Las Muñecas OOAK viene del inglés One Of A Kind, que significa únicas en su especie, quiere decir que han sido esculpidas a mano y no hay otra igual en el Mundo!

Las Muñecas BJD, del inglés Ball Jointed Dolls, son muñecas articuladas por sistema de bolas. También se conocen como Dollfies, nombre que utilizó el artista japonés  de la empresa Volks, llamado Akihiro Enku, al dar una renovada estética estilizada a este tipo de muñecas.


En el Grupo Iniciación, el Nivel 1, aprenderás a realizar muñecas OOAK, con la particularidad de que esculpimos el cuerpo entero por piezas y luego las unimos con cuerdas elásticas o cintas para que sean muñecas articuladas.

Aprende a:

- trabajar los diferentes tipos de arcillas de modelado, técnicas y trucos.

- crear y realizar muñecas únicas desde un diseño simple con articulación por medio de cuerdas elásticas, bisutería o cintas, 

- cómo realizar ojos y dientes hechos a mano

- cómo pintarlas, maquillarlas, pegar el pelo

- hacer su vestuario y hasta zapatos!

¡No es necesaria experiencia previa!

En el Grupo de Nivel 2, el Taller de Creación de BJD, aprenderás a Crear y realizar un Prototipo propio de BJD, que luego puedes enviar a fábrica para hacer moldes y sus copias en resina. 


Aprende a:

- Crear tu propio diseño de muñecas articuladas desde cero: a dibujar el diseño, proporciones, edades, anatomía, diseño de la mecánica de las articulaciones. Todo de frente, perfil, espalda.

- realiza la estructura de armazón interna o core interior

- esculpe pieza por pieza siguiendo el diseño, teniendo en cuenta la anatomía.

- realiza las bolas o joints, se cortan las piezas y se adaptan a los joints

- Crea el mecanismo de articulaciones simples o dobles

- Se comprueba la mecánica, se realizan las modificaciones necesarias

- lija, lijar y lijar... se aplica aparejo y seguir lijando :P

- se vuelve a comprobar la mecánica

- Lista para enviar a fábrica! 



En el Taller de BJD es necesario que tengas alguna experiencia artística, o hayas intentado hacer una muñeca por tu cuenta, o hayas hecho algo de escultura, ya que hacer una BJD es muy complejo...
